before it slips my mind, I'll write about it now.
commuting to school this morning was like my regular morning routine;
I walked to the Gil Fernando Avenue and waited for a jeep going to Cubao.
usually, I would expect jam packed jeeps... but it's ok because for sure, several people will be going when it comes to the Mall nearby, so usually I just hold onto it for a few minutes...
so, there it was, a full jeep stopped as I hailed.
I had an Electronic Communication book at my right and I use the left hand to hang on to dear life as the jeep moves.
[thanks to ate Kams...trulab eh, hiniram ng libro si ______,
hindi naman inuwi... hmp! hahahaha]
then, a lady near the entrance said, "akin na yung libro..."
it wasn't that shocking, but the offer was so rarely, that I kinda stared at the lady for a while before giving her the book.
I could have managed, but I just thought that the gesture was sweet in a way.
A stranger helping another...
it's quite rare to have this encounter with a paranoid [or maybe shy] Filipino Culture. it's just nice thinking about it.
before going down the jeep under the C-5 flyover, we just exchanged smiles and went our separate ways...
just as regular strangers do everyday
but the moment was worth remembering [it's just me I guess :) ]
